WHO WE ARE

At Bioscape our mission is to drive the global transition to cleaner energy by providing high-quality raw materials for the production of biodiesel and other sustainable fuels.

Founded in partnership with Africa-focused trader Mocoh, our collaboration combines the enterprising spirit and regional expertise of the Bioscape team and the experience and reputation of the Mocoh Group.

With a clear vision to become Africa's most trusted source of sustainable feedstocks, Bioscape is proud to play a pivotal role in the global supply chain for clean energy. Our operations help reduce harmful emissions and create economic opportunities across the continent, making Bioscape a significant catalyst for positive change in the energy sector.

WHAT WE DO

We aggregate, store, process and export second generation waste-based feedstocks, sourced from across West Africa, for conversion into biodiesel and other sustainable fuels.

OUR PRODUCTS

Used Cooking Oil

Used cooking oil is the waste oil collected after cooking or frying foods. It is commonly derived from plant and animal-based oils. This oil is often recycled into biodiesel, which is a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. It can also be used in the production of soaps, animal feed and other industrial applications.

Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME)

POME is a waste product generated in the processing of palm oil, one of the most widely produced vegetable oils in the world.
POME can be treated and used for biogas production, a renewable energy source.
It is also a renowned biofuel feedstock and is partially composed of biomatters that can be used in organic fertilisation.

Acid Oils

Acid Oils are a byproduct of the edible oil refining process.
They are rich in free fatty acids (FFA) and typically dark in color with a distinctive odor.
Though not suitable for direct consumption, acid oils serve various industrial purposes.
Applications include biofuel production, soap manufacturing for saponification, and the creation of industrial products like lubricants.

TALLOW

Tallow, a byproduct of the meat processing industry, is a rendered form of fat - traditionally beef or mutton fat, but it can also come from other animal meat sources.
Tallow can be used to produce biodiesel, considered a sustainable fuel. It is also used in the manufacturing of soaps, candles and lubricants.

Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL)

This is a natural resin found in the honeycomb structure of the cashew nutshell, and is a byproduct of the nut processing industry.
CNSL is known for its thermal and chemical resistance properties. It is used in the production of friction linings, paints, varnishes and epoxy resins. CNSL is also used in power generation, marine fuels and as a binding agent in bitumen.

Biomass

Biomass is a renewable energy source derived from organic materials like plants, animals, agricultural residues, wood chips, and algae. Biomass has diverse applications, including power generation, biofuel production for transportation, and sustainable heating solutions for homes and industries. It also plays a key role in producing biochemicals and bio-based materials, supporting a circular economy while reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
